Writing…

10 Feb

Hey everyone,

You know sometimes, I really wish I was able to write about every topic that comes to my mind throughout the course of the day. However, I am not able. So I count those topics as personal notes for my growth. With day-to-day activities including talking to God, homeschooling, being an active parent, writing, cooking, being a social network enthusiast, planning events, organizing, advocating against domestic violence, crocheting, counseling, (insert the voice of the Peanuts’ teacher), uhhhh yeah, my life is my style and my style comes from God.

You see, while I would love to wake up and begin my day writing everyday, I can’t guarantee it. So, I have learned to appreciate what’s for me and flow the way He wants me to proceed. When you accept the call to lead ministry your day will never be predictable. The more I discover that, the more I become relaxed with where I am on this journey. Some days I have a statement and other days I have a report (lol), but either way every day I have something to write about….something to talk about….something to share with the world.

So anytime you may stop to wonder where I am, just know that I am still writing either a new book, a journal entry, a lesson plan for the children, or a personal note for my personal growth. I may not be here always in the physical with my works, but I am definitely here in the spirit…cheering you on as you express yourself.

Be encouraged. Be inspired. be who He created you to be.

Love,

Bella Grace

About Bella Grace

Born, in 1979, Bella Grace has arisen to become a person strategically working to make a change rather than complain. At the age of 5, she knew she wanted to be a teacher and she stuck to that. As with any child, she faced life decisions that she believes helped to cultivate her into the woman she has become. Born in Newark, NJ, Bella graduated as Salutatorian of her 8th grade class literally missing it by a point to be Valedictorian. She went on to study Drama at Newark’s Arts High School and graduated in the top 15 of her class. Bella later went on to study at Pace University with a major in Education, and minor in Child Psychology. However, in 1998 she met a guy that became the father of her two boys and in 2002, this person stabbed Bella thirteen times in front of their children and left her to die in her own pool of blood. In 2006, after making a miracle of a comeback, Bella decided to work on a program that would cater to the single mother/woman that she herself was. In 2008, she walked away from the public school system, and started her own private school system (home schooling her two children) as well as beginning her ministry, Walking on Water. Its purpose is to “teach the world it’s not about us” by way of motivational speaking to schools, churches, ministries, companies, and individuals. In 2008, she began a monthly workshop meeting which was established to teach and learn ways to stay encouraged and motivated. She is an advocate against domestic violence, rape, and sexual assault, with a goal to establish her own domestic violence safe transitional home. She is also a member of The National Domestic Violence Registry (domesticviolencedatabase.org) and Courage Network (couragenetwork.com). She is an educator, motivational speaker, mentor, advocate against domestic violence, author, community outreach leader, mother of three, but more importantly a child of God. Through her experiences she has learned that she was created with a purpose for a purpose, and she is determined to encourage others to have such a mentality. She has interviewed by Cathy Huges of TV One at the 2009 Women's Empowerment in Raleigh, NC, interviewed by Lyn Twyman of Courage Network, and featured as the October 2011 Cover Story of AfroElle Online Magazine. When asked recently, to sum up what is it that she does, Bella had this to say: “I teach people to know who you are, by learning who you are, so you can accept who you are in order to be who you are.” In 2009, Bella began to write a series of children books entitled “The Adventures of Susie and JJ.” After careful selection, she was finally able to select the method of her choice to have the books released. On July 8, 2011, her first installment, “The Adventures of Susie and JJ: The Love Policy,” was published and ready to educate the youth of today. This nine part series is sure to be a delight in your home as well as in your family’s life. Place your order today at www.walkingonwaterwithgrace.org/shop/the-adventures-of-susie-and-jj/. All proceeds will go towards the establishment of a domestic violence transitional safe home for abused women that are ready for a fresh start.
